Reaching the world for the glory of God through aviation.
What We're About
Reach Aviation was founded in 2017 by Tom Hamilton to develop a new aircraft for the general aviation market. From the outset, the vision was clear: design and create a highly capable utility aircraft for serious operational demands. Reach Aviation exists to glorify God, operates with trust and integrity, and builds with a relentless commitment to simple, practical results.
❋ Integrated Engineering & Manufacturing
Our Skunkworks-style environment maintains physical proximity between design engineers, machinists, composites technicians, and mechanics. Problems are identified and solved in real time, with design improvements fed directly back into the aircraft.
❋ Practical, Field-Driven Engineering
We prioritize solutions that hold up in remote, austere conditions. Decisions are measured against real operators’ needs of ease of maintenance, reliability, and operational efficiency.
❋ Lean, High-Ownership Team Culture
As a young and fast-learning team, we expect and empower every person to take responsibility for outcomes. Humility, clarity, and integrity guide decisions, while collaboration and mutual respect fuel innovation.
❋ Focus on Stewardship
From material choices to processes and team structure, we make intentional decisions that shape our ability to build aircraft that deliver exceptional long-term value while honoring the resources entrusted to us.
Built for What Matters.
AC-6 Currently in development.
Mission First
Our mission is to equip those serving in hard-to-reach places with aircraft purpose-built for their needs. Currently in development, the AC-6 bridges the gap between aging piston platforms and the high acquisition and operating costs of contemporary turbine aircraft; offering a rugged, affordable, sustainable solution for mission organizations, emergency medical aide, fire overwatch, private owners and small commercial operators.

Tom Hamilton
FOUNDER/ BOARD DIRECTOR
Tom Hamilton has spent the past 50 years designing aircraft and developing new technology for the aerospace industry. Out of college he founded Stoddard Hamilton Aircraft in which he designed and produced the high performance and highly popular Glasair and Glastar series experimental aircraft. In the mid 1980’s, Tom started Aerocet Inc., successfully completing a contract with the Navy and Boeing to manufacture military aviation stand-off weapon test vehicles. After concluding that contract, Tom developed a product line of composite aircraft floats which Aerocet produces today under Tom’s ownership. Aerocet now holds 23 separate certifications from the FAA in addition to a patent Tom holds for FAA certified amphibious aircraft wheels. In 1999, Tom started Quest Aircraft to develop and produce the Kodiak ten-place turboprop aircraft. The Kodiak received an FAA type certificate in 2007, and the company has gone on to produce over 330 aircraft to date. Tom continues his career in aircraft design with the Reach Aviation AC6 aircraft.
